As we are approaching the start of MTR Season 3, we want to get some decisions on chain. In order to continue to scale and succeed, we believe having set committees and leads to assist in the guidance, organization, and growth of this DAO will be beneficial. Below, you will see the proposed committees and guidelines/requirements for leads for Miami Tech Runs.

Proposed MTR Committees

1. Governance

Governance oversees everything that is going on within MTR and is the main connection to Tech Runs Global and the other Tech Runs cultures. They also oversee the leadership team, deal with conflict resolution, and will have signer rights (described more below).

2. Member Relations

Member Relations handles new member applications, onboarding, and the member directory. They are the “vibe controllers” and manage the committees and the bounty board. Members of the Member Relations Committee need to be knowledgeable in MTR’s mission, vision, values, community, and culture.

3. Growth & Partnerships

Growth strategizes around how MTR should grow and what we should “add to the pot” to be successful. They work closely with Events, Product, Marketing & PR, and Member Relations. Partnerships finds external partners and brings brands to Service to add utility to membership. Members of the Growth & Partnerships Committee must be well-versed on MTR’s utilities and value proposition to other brands and enterprise players.

4. Marketing & PR

Marketing & PR manages the brand (vision, mission, branding assets, color schemes, language, etc.) and handles all things PR-related. They approve and promote press releases, news stories, etc., support community-facing panels and communications with questions and choosing internal speakers, and manage an ongoing list of publication reps. They also monitor and manage the data analytics for MTR’s social media traffic. Also within Marketing & PR is the Media team, which controls MTR’s story telling on all social platforms. They control the narrative and are the content creators (i.e. photographer, videographer, editorial writer).

5. Events

Events plans, coordinates, and executes token-gated and open events hosted by MTR. Open / Community-Facing events are not token-gated and are completely open to outside individuals. Closed / Token-Gated events are fully or partially token-gated. The Events Committee works closely with Service for MTR’s runs, tournaments, and other events and Growth & Partnerships for partnered events.

6. Service

Service handles utility by finding and managing MTR’s service and experience providers (trainers, yoga instructors, gyms, food, etc). They work closely with Events to help plan MTR’s runs, tournaments, and other events.

7. Product

Product builds in-house products (i.e. NFTs) to enhance the quality, experience, and value of MTR. Members of the Product Committee are designers, developers, and software engineers.

8. Learning & Development

Learning & Development are in charge of Jam Sessions and Jump Start Sessions. Jam Sessions are educational sessions (i.e. NFT discussions, info sessions). Jump Start Sessions are sessions for MTR members to share their products and acquire new customers. The Learning & Development Committee works closely with Events.

9. Operations

Operations oversees the day-to-day operations and maintains the organization of MTR. They monitor and assist with the productivity of all committees. They manage the calendar and drive, schedule leadership and town hall meetings, etc. The Operations Committee works closely with ALL other committees.
